Wolfpack Women's Tennis Ranked No. 69 by the ITA

RALEIGH, N.C. - On the heels of an upset win over No. 59 Marshall this past Sunday, Feb. 6, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced on Tuesday, Feb. 8, that the NC State women's tennis teams was ranked at No. 69 nationally. The team currently stands at 1-1 on the young spring season, with four players owning singles wins and five different dual combos boasting victories.
Junior Barbara Orlay, currently holding a 4-1 record in singles action and a 3-2 slate with freshman partner Elin Stahl Johansson in doubles, remains ranked at No. 121 nationally in solo action by the ITA. Over the past weekend against Louisville, now ranked No. 75, and No. 59 Marshall, Orlay went 4-0 in singles and dual competition.
The NC State women's tennis team will return to the courts on Thursday, Feb. 17, in a home match against Davidson. The 2:00 p.m. showdown will take place at the newly opened J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center on the NC State campus. Admission is free to the public.
