Wolfpack Moves Up to 23rd in AP Poll

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State (16-5, 5-3) improved to the 23rd spot as selected by the Associated Press this Monday, Feb. 7. The Wolfpack moved up from the 25th spot, which it had previously held for the last two weeks. NC State picked up its 16th overall win and fifth in the Atlantic Coast Conference and moved into third place among the 11 member schools after a 62-56 win over Virginia in Raleigh on Thursday, Feb. 3.
The Wolfpack first debuted in nation's top 25 back on January 24 for the first time since December 17, 2001.
NC State travels to Georgia Tech on Thursday, Feb. 10 for a 7 p.m. tip-off in Atlanta.
