The spring portion of the men's golf schedule gets underway Sunday, when NC State travels to Rio Grande, Puerto Rico to compete in the Puerto Rico Classic at the par 72, 6945-yard River Course at the Westin Rio Mar Golf Club. The Wolfpack looks to take the 18-team field by surprise after a slow start this fall. Head coach Richard Sykes says his team has improved on the things that they took home to work on during the break and is playing better.
Led by sophomore Jerry Richardson, who had a team-best 74.6 stroke average in the fall, The Wolfpack's Stephen Lewton (junior), Garry Hill (sophomore) and Banks Wood (senior) aim to bring more consistency to the club while Taylor Crosby, a junior who transferred from Georgia at semester, looks to make an immediate impact playing in the Pack's lineup this week.
