No. 70 Women's Tennis Defeats Winthrop, 4-3

RALEIGH, N.C. - In doubles, NC State got a much needed boost on two new pairings this season in No. 2 and No. 3. Despite not playing in a spring match together, Stahl Johansson and Roach won at No. 2 doubles with an 8-4 score. After a pair of seniors, Taylor Parker and Carmen Torres, lost at No. 3 in their first pairing together this season, it was up to the no. 1 doubles team. Stadelmann and Arechavaleta won 8-6 to give the Wolfpack women the deciding edge.
Stahl Johansson won at No. 2, 6-4, 6-2 and Roach won 6-3, 7-6 (2) at No. 4.
Arechavaleta won in three sets, 3-6, 6-0, 6-3.
