Standout diver Molly Culberon continues to dominate in her senior season, winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competition to improve to 10-0 on the season in diving events. Senior Jessica Koenig won the 200 backstroke, while freshman Lucy Lindsey won her second 100 freestyle event and fourth event overall on the season. Those performances weren't enough against the nationally ranked Tar Heels, however, who won 201-99 over the Wolfpack (3-3, 1-3).
Culberson posted a score of 325.65 in the 3-meter competition for the win, her second highest on the season. Her 1-meter score of 271.91 wasn't one of her top times, but it was good for the win in the event.
Koenig won her fourth event on the season, and posted her fifth top-2 finish in the 200 backstroke, and second win, with a 2:06.54. She finished third in the 100 backstroke and second in the 200 IM on the evening. Her ten top-2 finishes on the season are tied with Culberson for first on the team.
Lindsey is an impressive racer, and her performance this season as a freshman has proved important to the team. Her 52.34 placed first in the 100 freestyle, Lindsey's fourth win of the season and ninth top-3 finish. She finished third in the 200 freestyle as well against the Tar Heels. The freestyle specialist has the top time on the season in the 50 and 200 free for the Wolfpack, and a top-3 time in the 100 and 500 free as well.
Lindsay Barwegen finished second in the 1000 free with a season best 10:03.51 in the event, the fifth fastest time in the ACC.
Barwegen finished second in the 500 free as well, and Shannon Brewer turned in a season best second place finish in the 50 free in the meet.
