ROCKY FACE, Ga. - Jerry Richardson shot two strokes under par in the third and final round of the Carpet Capital Collegiate to lead the NC State men's golf on Sunday. The Wolfpack finished 10th in a deep field of 18 that included nine top-25 teams at the Farm Golf Club. NC State played its best golf in the second round, firing two over on Saturday.
Darren Blair and Taylor Crosby finished four over to lead NC State over the three-day, 54-hole event and they both tied for 22nd place. Blair, a freshman from Johannesburg, South Africa, followed a two over first round with a pair of 73s over the weekend, while Crosby, a senior from Athens, Ga., sandwiched a one under second round between a 74 and 75. Richardson tied for 45th at seven over and Stephen Lewton, who carded a two under second round, had a rough start and finish to end up 11 over. Nathan Spoon also competed for the Wolfpack.
