Women's Swimmers In NCAA Top-100

With a fourth of the season behind them, the Wolfpack women have already put themselves on the Top 100 national ranking list. Seven Wolfpack women rank in five different event categories, led by Pack swimmers Lindsay Barwegen and Kerry Whitson. The duo is ranked in two seperate events, and NC State's best ranking is in the 800 Freestlye medley relay with the number 20 spot in a time of 7:31.31.
In the 100 free, freshman Lucy Lindsey ranks 97th with a time of 51.81. Junior Kerry Whitson follows up right behind Lindsey with the 98th ranking in a time of 51.82. The Pack has two swimmers ranked in the 500 freestlye event. Junior Lindsay Barwegen checks into the 33rd spot in a time of 4:51.71, while Kerry Whitson ranks 87th (4:56.44).
Barwegen's second national ranking is her 16:50.60 performance in the 1650 freestyle event, earning her the 28th spot. In the 400 individual medley, senior Jessica Koenig swam a 4:25.65 for the 62nd ranking nationally.
The women's swimming and diving team will swim against conference rival North Carolina on Wed, Nov. 30 at 7 pm.
