NC State Defeats The Citadel, 20-15

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Ryan Goodman and Jainor Palma won the final two bouts of the match on Saturday , November 12, to lift NC State to a 20-15 victory over The Citadel.
The Wolfpack jumped to a 14-6 lead midway through the bout, thanks to major decisions by 133-pounder Jeff Breese and redshirt-junior Bryant Reams. The Buldogs won the next three bouts to take a 15-14 lead with two bouts to go, but Goodman took a 4-1 decision over Marc Thompson, and Palma defeated John Buck 5-2 to nail down the victory.
The victory raised NC State's record to 2-0. The match was the season opener for The Citadel. NC State will return to action on Saturday, November 19, in the Wolfpack Open at Reynolds Coliseum.
