ACC Teleconference Quotes Associate Head Coach Stephanie Glance
Opening Remarks
To say this has been an interesting week would be an understatement, because of the absence of Coach Yow and the two really tough games that our team played in. We played North Carolina at home on Friday in a very close game and then we w dere at Virginia Tech last night. Of course we were very happy to come away with a win at Virginia Tech. The players really did an unbelievable job in Coach Yow's absence to pull together and perform at a high level and give a great effort to go 1-and-1 in her absence. We are looking forward to her return today in Raleigh. I am personally very proud of our team and our staff and the way everyone has handled the situation that we are in.
About Talking With Coach Yow After Games
Well it's actually been difficult to get in touch with her, so we wait until she can give us a call. Last night was unusual that she got one of our staff members after the game and so I was able to speak with her just after I finished radio and before I went to the pressroom. She had been able to watch the game on TV Friday, but last night the same place did not show last night's game. So she listened to the radio broadcast on a telephone. So she knew the outcome and we were able to talk briefly after the game. She was very happy that we had gotten a win in Blacksburg. She asked me to read the stat lines off the stat sheet because she couldn't see the game.
About Play of Khadijah Whittington
I think she it is just getting more experience under her belt. She is a great player. She is a freshman that we always felt would make a huge impact on our team this year. It's just getting more experience and getting comfortable with this level of play and the physical play night in and night out.
