Pettersson Three Under In First Round Of British Open

Carl Pettersson, a former standout golfer for NC State, finished the first round of the British Open three under par Thursday morning at the par 71, 7175-yard Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland. Pettersson is tied for fourth place.
