Raleigh, N.C. - Much of the nation's attention has been on the U.S. Track & Field Olympic Trials being held this week in Sacramento, California. Three NC State runners have already competed, and one more will run this weekend in the women's 100 meter hurdles. The Pack brought home two top-20 finishes in two men's distance races, and a top-25 performance in the women's 100 meters.
Chad Pearson was the highest NC State finisher thus far at the trials. Pearson finished eighth in the men's 10,000 meters with a time of 28:38.44, less then a second off of his own school record which he set this past outdoor season.
Andy Smith finished 17th in the men's 3,000 meter steeplechase with his time of 8:38.35. On the women's side, Felicia Fant took 24th in the 100 meters with a time of 12.07.
