Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. - Hey, this is Courtney Pomeranz. I am a senior Communications major from Sanford NC.
Today was a little bit different for us. We did not tee off until 12:30, which is about 4 hours later than normal. So this morning we all got up early and did something to get ourselves going and ready for the day. Some of us went for a run, and others studied for exams.
We are very lucky to have a great support group of family and friends with us. Everyone on the team has parents here this week, as well as Nora Lynn. We like to refer to our followers as 'groupies.' So thanks!!! to all our our 'groupies' for coming to be with us this week.
Today we shot 316 as a team, which puts us 8 strokes away from our goal of going to Nationals! We all did some really good things today and feel like we will be able to build on it tomorrow and shoot a lot lower. The golf course is really nice, in great shape, and sets up to our games really well.
We finished playing about 6pm this evening and went and practiced 'till about 7pm. Then we grabbed some dinner at the golf course and now we are getting ready to go to bed because tomorrow we play early, 8am.
Watch us on www.golfstat.com tommorrow morning. Thanks again to our friends and family for coming. Bri Vega, aka JLO, will let you in on tomorrow's adventures.
GO WOLFPACK! :) :)
Courtney
