Men's Golf Tied For Fifth In Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. - The NC State men's golf team is tied for fifth place Saturday at the Cleveland Golf/Augusta State Invitational at the Par 72, 7231-yard Forest Hills Golf Club. The Wolfpack was three-over par after the first round. The second round was suspended due to darkness. Play will resume at 9:00 a.m. Sunday and the third round will begin after the second round is completed. Banks Wood and Fernando Mechereffe lead the Wolfpack with even par scores of 72 in the first round and are tied for 15th place overall.
Stephen Lewton is tied for 42nd place with a two-over-par score of 74 in the first round. Wesley Horne is six over and tied for 49th, while Jerry Richardson is seven over and tied for 59th.
UCLA leads the talented field of 18 teams that feature 10 of the nation's top 25 ranked teams, including seven of the top 18. Complete results, including live scoring is available at www.golfstat.com.
