Wolfpack Swimming Host Georgia Tech at 5 pm

The men's and women's swimming and diving team will take on Ga. Tech at 5 pm on Friday, Nov. 5 at the Willis Casey Natatorium. The meet is free, with pizza and soft drinks available afterwards. The NC State men are 1-1 overall and 1-1 in the ACC while the women's team is 3-1 overall with a 1-1 conference mark. Cullen Jones leads the men with six top-5 finishes, including two wins, while Lindsey Barwegen has paced the Wolfpack women with seven first place showings. Laura Cutler leads the women with eight top-5 finishes.
• Men & Women Host Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets •
NC State swimming and diving will host Georgia Tech in an ACC dual meet for the men and women. The meet is set for 5 pm Friday, Nov. 5 at the Willis Casey Natatorium. The Georgia Tech men enter the meet with a 2-3 overall record and a 2-1 mark in the ACC, good for third in the conference, while the Yellow Jacket women are 0-4 overall and 0-3 in the ACC, last in the conference.
• Fifth In The New ACC •
Both the men's and women's swimming and diving squads currently rank fifth in the conference, with the men holding a 1-1 overall record and a 1-1 mark in the ACC, having lost to Virginia Tech (Oct. 15) and picking up a win against Duke (Oct. 30). The women have jumped out to a hot start after dropping their first meet to Virginia Tech (Oct. 15), and have won three straight over Campbell, Gardner-Webb and Duke. The 3-1 mark is the third best women's mark in the league going into Friday's meet against the Yellow Jackets.
• Wolfpack Swimmers Of Note •
M: Cullen Jones (50Free, 100Free) Kevin Velleca (50Free, 100Back), Lyle Babcock (200Fly), Chris Schenck (1000Free), TJ Ferguson (1&3-Meter) and Rob Yeager (200Breast) are all listed among the ACC's top times this week. In addition, Velleca, Scott Detloff, Kevin Devine and Jones combined to swim the fastest 200 freestyle relay in the conference. W: Jessica Koenig (200Back, 200IM), Laura Cutler (200Fly), Lindsay Barwegen (1000Free), Lindsay Lowell (1-Meter) and Molly Culberson (1&3-Meter) are all listed amont the women's top times in the ACC.
• Yellow Jacket Swimmers Of Note •
M: One of the top distance swimmers in the conference will enter the pool for Ga. Tech, as Sam Morgan holds the top time in the 1000 freestyle, the second fastest time in the 1650 free, and the fifth fastest time in the 500 free. W: Elizabeth Stowe is ninth in the 500 free and fifth in the 1000 free, while Stephanie England has made a splash in the diving events.
