Conor Taylor Falls in ITA All-American

NC State senior men's tennis player Conor Taylor, the nation's No. 36 player by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), lost in the first round of the Icy Hot/ITA All-American Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn. on Thursday evening, Oct. 7. He fell to Manuel Kost of Oregon, 6-3, 6-2 before dropping his second match in the consolation round to Adrians Zguns of Arkansas.
Taylor, from Dublin, Ireland, falls to 1-4 in the fall season as he readies for his senior season in the ACC. Last season, in his first year in collegiate play, Taylor posted an impressive 5-3 mark at No. 1 singles, including a win over two-time ACC Player of the Year Mat Cloer.
