WINDERMERE, Fla. - The NC State men's golf team shaved seven strokes off its first round score at the Isleworth Invitational on Monday, shooting 10-over-par in the second round of 18 holes played at the par-72, 7,426-yard Isleworth Country Club. The Wolfpack is in 10th place out of 16 teams, heading into the final round Tuesday.
Tied for 34th place, sophomores Jerry Richardson and Garry Hill led NC State the first day, carding seven-over scores. One stroke behind them are seniors Banks Wood and Jeremy Langdale, who are tied for 40th place. Langdale shot par in the second round, the team's best score of the day. Stephen Lewton is 12-over after the opening 36 holes.
Georgia leads the field with a one-over total. Georgia Tech's Roberto Castro, Matt Every from Florida and Pablo Martin from Oklahoma State are tied for first place at seven-under. Complete results from the first two rounds of the Isleworth Invitational are available at www.ucfathletics.com.
