Wood Leads Men's Golf At Two Over

SOMIS, Calif. - Banks Wood shot par and Jerry Richardson carded a one-under score in the second round of the Club Glove Intercollegiate Monday afternoon to help the NC State men's golf team improve seven strokes from the first round, played earlier that morning at the par 72, 6,858-yard Saticoy Country Club. The Wolfpack is 21-over heading into the final round Tuesday and is in 11th place of 12 participating teams. Wood leads the squad at two-over and is tied for 18th place.
Richardson is tied for 29th after two rounds, shaving six strokes off his first round score to finish the day four-over. Stephen Lewton is one stroke behind Richardson and tied for 34th. Freshmen Chase Duncan and Andrew Byrd are playing in their first collegiate tournament.
Pepperdine, the host team and two-time defending tournament champion, leads the field at three-under, while the Waves' Michael Putnam is in first place at seven-under. Complete results from the Club Glove Intercollegiate are available at www.pepperdinesports.com.
