NC State Volleyball Falls To 25th-Ranked Wisconsin

MADISON, Wisc. - NC State's three-match winning streak ran headlong into 25th-ranked Wisconsin on Friday night at the InnTowner Invitational, held at the UW Field House, and the Badgers ended the Wolfpack's winning streak with a three-game sweep, 30-17, 30-25 and 30-19.
The Wolfpack fell to 5-4 with the loss, while the Badgers improved to 5-2.
Wisconsin held NC State to a .067 attack percentage. Freshman Julia Reis had six kills, 16 digs and three blocks for the Pack, which did not have any players reach double figures in kills. Senior setter Crystal Shannon had four kills, 18 assists and seven digs. Melanie Rowe and Maya Mapp tied for team high with seven kills apiece.
Aubrey Meierotto paced Wisconsin with 11 kills and four blocks, while Morgan Shields was right behind her with 10 kills and four blocks.
The Wolfpack will resume play in the InnTowner Invitational on Saturday at 6 p.m. eastern time against Iowa State, at the UW Field House.
