Twenty-four hours after a ninety minute rain delay drenched the course and elevated scores, the best golf conference in the nation returned to form on the course. With only seven players par or better after Friday's soggy round, the second day of play saw 15 players at 72 or under. For NC State, Jason Moon carded a three-under 68 and Stephen Lewton chipped in a 72 to lead NC State into sixth place with a two-day 607.
Justin Walters crept up to 26th with a second round 75, while Fernando Mechereffe and Rodney Thomas both fired rounds in the 80s.
The final round tees off at 8:30am at the Old North State.
