Wolfpack Volleyball Falls to Seminoles, 3-0

Four players recorded double-digits in kills for Florida State, as the Seminoles rolled to a 3-0 victory over NC State in volleyball action Saturday night. FSU won by scores of 30-19, 30-27 and 30-14. The loss knocked the Wolfpack to 7-20 overall, 0-12 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, while the Seminoles improved to 14-12, 4-8 in conference play.
Junior middle blocker Maya Mapp and sophomore outside hitter Adeola Kosoko paced the Wolfpack's offense with six kills each. Setters Crystal Shannon and Melissa Rabe each dished out 11 assists on the night. Kosoko, Shannon and senior libero Caroline Frede all finished with six digs each defensively for NC State.
For FSU, middle blocker Aisha Carr finished with a match-high 13 kills off a .579 attack percentage. Meanwhile, rightside Cassie McLaughlin and outside hitters Kristen Rust and Nikki Anthony each tallied 12 kills for the Seminoles. Setters Jennifer Anderson and Jessica Skower finished with 36 and 11 assists respectively.
The Wolfpack will now return home to face conference opponents Maryland and Virginia. NC State will host the Terrapins on Thursday night and then the Cavaliers on Friday night. Both matches will be at Reynolds Coliseum and will start at 7 p.m.
