No. 4 Georgia Tech Sweeps NC State Volleyball

ATLANTA, Ga. - Lynnette Moster and Lauren Sauer each recorded 13 kills as the No. 4 Georgia Tech volleyball team swept NC State 30-18, 30-18, 30-23 Saturday night. With the win, the Yellow Jackets improved to 22-0, 10-0 in the ACC while the Wolfpack fell to 7-18, 0-10 in the conference.
Kayla Ragan and Melanie Rowe paced the Wolfpack with 10 kills apiece. Melissa Rabe and Crystal Shannon split the setting chores, with Rabe notching 14 assists, and Shannon with 12. The Wolfpack hit just .126 as a team.
In addition to Moster and Sauer, Alexandra Preiss recorded 10 kills for the Jackets and was followed by Laura Kuhn with eight and Jayme Gergen with six. As a group, Georgia Tech hit .349.
At the net, Tech dominated, recording nine total team blocks to the Wolfpack's five. Lauren Sauer led the way recording six blocks followed by Preiss who tallied five block assists. Adeola Kosoko had three blocks for the Pack, followed by Paige Gilliam with two.
Defensively, Moster recorded 12 digs for Georgia Tech, followed by Aston who had 10. Caroline Frede paced the Wolfpack with seven digs, while Ragan had six.
