Clemson Defeats NC State Volleyball, 3-0

The NC State volleyball team fell to Clemson in Atlantic Coast Conference play Friday night, 3-0 at Jervey Gym. The final scores of the match were 30-25, 30-20, 30-18. With the win, Tigers' overall record improved to 14-11, 3-6 in the conference, while the Wolfpack dropped to 7-17, 0-9 in the ACC.
Leading the way for the Wolfpack was freshman outside hitter Julia Reis, who finished the night with a team-high eight kills and 15 digs. Meanwhile senior libero Caroline Frede tacked on another eight digs on the defenisve side of the net, and setter Melissa Rabe dished out 20 assists.
Outside hitter Leslie Finn was dominant offensively for the Tigers, finishing with a match-high 21 kills off a .295 attack percentage. Fellow outside hitter Ryane Beasley also stepped up for Clemson, recording 14 kills and a .462 hitting percentage. Libero Lindsey Abbott anchored the Tiger defense with 22 digs, while setter Stephanie Haskell finished with 50 assists.
The Wolfpack heads to Atlanta, Georgia Saturday to face the No. 4 Yellow Jackets in a 7 p.m. contest.
