Baton Rouge, LA- ACC Women's Golf Coach of the Year Page Marsh lead the Wolfpack to three tournament titles and an NCAA East Regional bid, both firsts for Women's Golf at NC State. Unfortunately, the season ended today as the Pack fell 14 strokes short of advancing to their first NCAA Championship appearance with a three day score of 907 (303-303-301, +43). The Wolfpack finished 14th out of 21 teams in the field, and needed to finish eighth or better to advance to the NCAA Championships. ACC rival Duke won the East Regional title and was the only team to shoot under-par for the tournament at -5.
Colby Cobb lead NC State with a one-under-par 71 in the final round, using three birdies and only two bogies to establish a career low round and the second lowest round in school history. She finished in a five way tie for 13th with a 219 after starting the final round knotted at 29th. Cobb's previous low round was a one-over-par 73 at the Lady Seahawk Invitational.
