Wolfpack Men's Tennis Downed By Duke, 4-0

Raleigh, N.C.-The NC State men's tennis squad fell in their final match of the season Thursday 4-0 to No. 14 Duke at the ACC Men's Tennis Championships. The tournament is being held at the Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center in Raleigh, N.C.
The Wolfpack fell behind early, dropping the Nos. 1 and 2 doubles matches 8-3, and could never recover.
In singles, No. 117 Alex Bose disposed of the Wolfpack's Jon Davis 6-3, 6-0 at No. 6 just before Duke's Yorke Allen knocked off NC State's Shane Sealy at No. 5 6-2, 6-3.
The Blue Devils clinched the match at No. 1 when 11th-ranked Philip King topped the Wolfpack's Matt Lucas 6-3, 6-1.
Wolfpack freshman R.J. Murray had the best shot at attaining a point for the team, when he and Duke's Jason Zimmerman split sets at 6-3, before the match was called after the Blue Devils had clinched the fourth point. Murray defeated then-123rd ranked Zimmerman earlier in the season.
NC State ends its season at 5-20 overall, while Duke improves to 15-10 on the season.
