Women's Tennis Picks Up Another Win on the Road

Katrina Gildemeister defeated Wendy Rohr in a tough three sets at the No. 1 spot. The senior fell short in the second set by one point forcing the third where she won 7-5.
Kristen Nicholls, Loni Worsley and Myrna Bawono tabbed wins at the three, four and five spots respectively.
Freshman Danielle Staddlemann was introduced to the line-up today at the No. 6 position. She took Wofford's Mary Wallace DeBerry to three sets and took her first win in her collegiate d?but.
In doubles action, the tandem of Bawono/Leskovar defeated Rohr/Whisenhunt, Nicholls/Gildemeister handled Coleman/Hare with ease and Worsley/Jen Jassawalla out hit Turner/DeBerry.
The women's tennis team takes a short drive down I-85 to Greenville to face Furman on Saturday. The Paladins are 2-1 on the season after falling to No. 21 South Carolina earlier in the week. Match play begins at noon.
