Pack falls to No. 17 Carolina in Women's Tennis

Chapel Hill - The Wolfpack dropped their first match of the season to the homestanding Tarheels (3-0, 1-0) of Chapel Hill Sunday afternoon.
The match was the first conference play of the season for both teams.
NC State (1-1, 0-1) was defeated 7-0 by the No. 17 raked Carolina team. Junior Loni Worsley took Carolina's Caroline Hill into a third set. The Winston-Salem native put up a strong fight before falling 6-1, 3-6, 6-3.
The Pack will continue road play next Friday, February 8 against Wofford in Spartanburg, S.C. at 2 p.m. The women's team will then travel to Greenville for a showdown at high noon with Furman.
