Wolfpack Men Fall At Middle Tennessee State, 6-1

Murfreesboro, Tenn.--The NC State men's tennis squad lost to 28th-ranked Middle Tennessee State 6-1 in Murfreesboro, Tenn. on Saturday afternoon. NC State falls to 1-3 on the season, while the Blue Raiders move to 5-0.
Ryan Boward, a senior from Charlotte, N.C., captured the lone point of the afternoon with a win over MTSU's Trevor Short (6-1, 4-6, 7-5).
The Wolfpack fought valiantly in other matches on the afternoon. Sophomore Michael Carducci forced Oliver Foreman, the 102nd-ranked player in the nation, to three sets before falling 6-2, 6-7 (4), 7-5. RJ Murray sent the first set of his match into a tiebreak against fifth-seeded Rishan Kuruppu, but dropped the set and the match 7-6 (5), 6-4.
NC State will play #32 Vanderbilt tomorrow in Nashville at 12:00 p.m EST.
