No. 23 Yellow Jackets Sweep Wolfpack Volleyball

Led by three players with 10 kills each, No. 23 Georgia Tech defeated NC State in volleyball action Saturday afternoon at Peace College by the scores of 30-24, 30-13, 30-18.
The loss puts the Wolfpack at 3-26, 0-11 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, while the Yellow Jackets move to 23-5, 9-3 in conference play.
Senior outside hitter Rebecca Anderson led NC State throughout the match, finishing with a match-high 14 kills and a .313 attack percentage. She also tallied four digs. Sophomore middle blocker Maya Mapp added six kills, while setter Lindi Sheppard dished out 20 assists.
Sophomore middle blockers Jayme Gergen and Laura Kuhn, as well as freshman outside hitter Blair Moon all finished the afternoon with 10 kills, while combining for seven digs and five total blocks for Tech. Setters Kele Eveland and Lindsey Laband each saw action, totaling 30 and 13 assists respectively.
The Wolfpack will have the week to prepare as it stays in the state of North Carolina to take on Wake Forest and Duke this coming weekend. The Demon Deacons will play host to NC State Friday at 7 p.m., while the Blue Devils will welcome the Wolfpack to Durham for a 7:30 p.m. match on Saturday.
