NC State Volleyball Falls to Clemson, 3-1

The NC State volleyball team notched a victory in game two of Friday's match against Clemson at Reynolds Coliseum, but it wouldn't be enough as the Tigers defeated the Wolfpack in four games by the scores of 30-25, 29-31, 30-15, 30-21.
With the loss, NC State drops to 3-25, 0-10 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, while Clemson improves to 15-11, 6-5 in conference play.
Sophomore middle blocker Maya Mapp and freshman Adeola Kosoko each recorded match-highs in kills with 15 on the night. Senior outside hitter Rebecca Anderson tallied 12 kills of her own along with 14 digs, while setter Lindi Sheppard finished with 42 assists.
The Tigers featured five players with double-digit kill performances, led by middle hitter Lori Ashton with 15. Outside hitters Leslie Finn and Ryane Beasley each tallied 14 kills while combining for 24 digs and five block assists. Freshman Meghan Stanton and junior middle hitter Marija Zoric rounded out Clemson's offensive attack, grabbing 13 and 12 kills respectively.
The Wolfpack takes on Georgia Tech Saturday at the Herman Student Center on the campus of Peace College. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
