Tickets For the Inaugural Women's Jimmy V Classic On Sale Now

RALEIGH, N.C. - Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural Jimmy V Women's Basketball Classic, presented by Pontiac. Tickets are available at the RBC Center box office or through local Ticketmaster outlets (Raleigh/Durham Area call 919-834-4000). Tickets are also available online at www.ticketmaster.com.
The November 24th Classic will benefit The V Foundation for Cancer Research and was created for The Foundation by ESPN. Pre-season No. 1 Duke will face No. 2 Tennessee at 2 p.m. and No. 24 NC State will face the defending National Champion No. 3 UConn Huskies at 4:30 p.m. Both games will be nationally televised by ESPN, with Duke and Tennessee on ESPN2 and NC State versus UConn on ESPN.
"We are proud to bring this Classic to our hometown," said Foundation CEO Nick Valvano. "The Jimmy V Men's Basketball Classic is in its eighth year at the Meadowlands and we hope the Women's Classic will also become a lasting, signature event for The Foundation.
"ESPN has developed a national showcase event for us to present our city and the finest in collegiate women's basketball to a national television audience. We're hoping for a great crowd to support our two local teams as well as show the country that Raleigh is a big-time sports town," Valvano added.
Tickets range in price from $12 to $25, with a limited number of $100 courtside seats also available. Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. Information on discounted prices for groups can be obtained by calling the RBC Center Group Sales Office at 919-861-5457.
