NORMAN, Okla. - Third-ranked Oklahoma won eight of 10 matches, three by forfeit, on January 3 to hand NC State a 40-7 defeat in college wrestling. The Sooners improved to 5-1 in dual matches this season while the Wolfpack dropped to 4-1.
NC State got victories from Pierre Pryor at 165 pounds - a major decision over Wes Roberts - and Ngozi Collins at heavywewight. Pryor improved to 13-4 for the season, while Collins upped his record to 9-3.
NC State will return to action on January 11-12 at the Virginia Duals in Hampton, Va.
