Wolfpack Tennis Falls At Tulsa

Tulsa, OK--The NC State men's tennis team kicked off their 2002 schedule with a trip to Tulsa Saturday evening to face the 48th-ranked Golden Hurricane. The Wolfpack lost 7-0, but Wolfpack senior Matt Lucas fought valiantly against Dane McGregor, the 79th-ranked player in the nation.
Lucas and McGregor split both the first two sets, and battled to 5-4 in the third with Lucas serving for the match. However, McGregor broke Lucas's serve and went onto capture the set and the match 6-1, 4-6, 7-5.
The Wolfpack will face Oral Roberts at 11:00 a.m. eastern Sunday in Tulsa.
