NC State Golfers 10th at Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State's women's golf team, in its first full season since the
program was reinstated last fall, is currently in 10th place after the
first round of the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational at Tuscawilla Country
Club in West Springs, Fla. The Wolfpack shot a 335 in the first round of
the 36-hole event.
Michigan State is leading the event with a one shot lead over Indiana. The Spartans fired a 306 on the day.
NC State was led by freshman Malin Claesson who shot an 81 and is currently tied for 28th place. Teammates Rebecca Randolph and Alli Henderson each fired an 82.
Kent State's Martina Gillen and Stacy Snider of Michigan State fired even par rounds of 72 to sit atop the leaderboard.
The 14-team field will complete the final round of play on Tuesday.
