Seminoles Down NC State Volleyball In Four Games

RALEIGH, N.C. - Three Florida State players had at least 15 kills and hitting percentages over .400 as the Seminoles defeated NC State in four games in Atlantic Coast Conference volleyball action Saturday night at Reynolds Coliseum. FSU won by scores of 28-30, 30-13, 30-16 and 30-14.
Alex Sevillano led Florida State (5-7 overall, 3-2 in the ACC) with 15 kills, a .542 percentage and nine digs. Norisha Campbell had 15 kills, a .423 percentage and five total blocks. Erica Bunch had 16 kills, a .407 percentage, three blocks and a team-high 10 digs. That trio was augmented Kristin Frye, who had seven kills, a .500 percentage and five digs for the Seminoles.
Florida State hit just .269 in losing the first game, but then hit .536, .400 and .435 in the final three games to finish with a .411 percentage for the match. The Wolfpack (5-8 overall, 1-5 in the ACC) hit .078 for the match.
Charece Williams led NC State with 21 kills and a .191 percentage. Williams had 47 of the Wolfpack's 128 total attempts. Alison Kreager and Sarah Ensminger shared the team lead with seven digs. Melanie Rowe was second on the Wolfpack with seven kills and also had five digs.
NC State will return to action on Sunday, October 7 with a 2 p.m. ACC match against Clemson at Reynolds Coliseum.
