NC State Volleyball Reschedules Appalachian State Match

NC State's volleyball match with Appalachian State, originally scheduled for September 11, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 30. The match, which will be held at Reynolds Coliseum at 7 p.m., will be NC State's final home match of the season.
The Wolfpack will hold its annual Senior night on Saturday, October 27 vs. Duke. Seniors Charese Williams, Alison Kreager, Nikki Stemler and Jackie Stratton will be honored in a prematch ceremony. NC State also will host Wake Forest that weekend, on Friday, October 26, at Reynolds Coliseum. Start time for both the Wake Forest and the Duke matches will be 7 p.m.
NC State will travel to Virginia and East Carolina this coming week. The Pack, 5-12 overall and 1-8 in the ACC, will take on the Cavaliers on Sunday, October 21 at 1 p.m. in Charlottesville, Va. The Cavaliers, 5-11 overall and 1-8 in the conference, are led by Shannon Boyle with 133 kills and 46 blocks, Jenny Harmon with 132 kills, 106 digs and 32 blocks, and Paige Davis with 124 kills and 106 digs. Boyle is hitting .280 for the Cavs, who are hitting .180 as a team.
The Wolfpack is led by Williams, who has 229 kills, 142 digs and a .198 hitting percentage. Kreager has 130 kills, 125 digs, a .180 percentage and a team-high 35 blocks. Freshman Melanie Rowe has 123 kills and 113 digs. Rebecca Anderson, who has 74 kills in 217 attempts, is hitting .203 to lead NC State, which is hitting .154 as a team.
NC State will travel to East Carolina on October 23 to take on the Pirates in a 7 p.m. match.
