Georgia Tech Downs NC State In ACC Volleyball Action

RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 23) - Georgia Tech dropped the first game by two points, but then went on to defeat NC State in four games in Atlantic Coast Conference volleyball action on Sept. 23 at Reynolds Coliseum.
Tech, which won by scores of 14-16, 16-14, 15-11 and 15-12, improved to 10-4 overall, 1-1 in the ACC. The Wolfpack dropped to 5-8 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
Enkeleida Mabry led the Yellow Jackets with 22 kills and just two errors in 32 chances for a sensational .625 hitting percentage. Mabry had four digs, one solo block and seven assisted blocks. Teryl Townsend had 13 kills, 14 digs, seven assisted blocks and a hitting percentage of .355. Maja Pachale had 19 kills, nine digs and a .275 hitting percentage for Tech.
Tara Greene and Charese Williams led the Wolfpack. Greene had 24 kills, 12 digs and four assisted blocks. Williams had 22 kills, 17 digs, one solo block and four assisted blocks. Williams had just six errors in 46 attempts for a .348 percentage. Meredith Price had 18 digs for NC State.
