Wolfpack's Kreager, Price Earns Academic All-District Honors

RALEIGH, N.C. (Nov. 19, 2000) -- Combining an outstanding overall statistics line with a
4.0 grade-point average in biological sciences, NC State junior middle
blocker Alison Kreager has been named to the first-team CoSIDA/Verizon
Academic All-District 3 volleyball team.
Kreager, a junior from Ligonier, Ind., led the Wolfpack this season with a .251 hitting percentage, 32 block solos ad 92 block assists. She ranked third on the team with 290 digs and 299 kills.
By earning first-team all-district honors, Kreager automatically is a finalist for Academic All-America honors, which will be selected in December.
In addition to Kreager, NC State senior right-side hitter Meredith Price was named to the second team Academic All-District 3 team. Price, from Elicot City, Md., led NC State this season with 348 digs and was fourth on the team with a .194 hitting percentage. Price has a 4.0 GPA in biochemistry.
