Wake Forest Swamps NC State Volleyball In Four Games

RALEIGH, N.C. (Oct. 14) - Junior outside hitter Trina Maso de Moya had a match-high 20 kills to lead Wake Forest past NC State in Atlantic Coast Conference volleyball on Oct. 14 at Reynolds Coliseum. The Deacons dropped the first game to the Wolfpack before rallying for a 3-15, 15-8, 15-7, 15-0 victory. With the win, Wake Forest improves to 13-6 overall and 4-4 in the ACC. The Wolfpack falls to 7-13 overall and 1-7 in the conference.
Wake Forest setter Ashlee Phillips had 34 assists, four kills and no hitting errors, 16 digs and five blocks in an outstanding overall performance for the Deacons. Outside hitter Sara Beth DeLisle had seven kills and 16 digs for the Deacs.
Junior outside hitter Charece Williams led NC State with 16 kills and 12 digs, and senior right-side hitter Meredith Price had 11 digs for the Wolfpack.
