NC State Sweeps Duke In ACC Volleyball

RALEIGH, N.C. (Oct. 13) - NC State rallied from the 3-6 deficit in the third game and rolled to a three-game sweep of Duke in Atlantic Coast Conference volleyball action Oct. 13 at Reynolds Coliseum.
Junior outside hitter Charece Williams had 18 kills and just five errors for a .317 hitting percentage to lead the Wolfpack, which improved to 7-12 on the season. The Pack picked up its first conference victory of the year, raising its league mark to 1-6. Duke fell to 15-6 overall and 4-3 in the ACC.
The Wolfpack had its third best hitting performance of the season with a .260 mark. Junior middle blocker Alison Kreager had 13 kills and just four errors for a .333 percentage, and also had a match-high 19 digs. Junior setter Jackie Stratton, making her first start since the first weekend of the season, had 58 assists, more than double the Wolfpack's previous season high of 26 assists in a three-game match. Senior middle blocker Stephanie Stambaugh had five assisted blocks to lead both teams.
Sophomore outside hitter Jill Sonne led Duke with 11 kills and only one error for a .417 hitting percentage. Sonne also had 17 digs and three assisted blocks.
