Wade McLain joined the NC State Football Equipment Room in 2022 as an Assistant Equipment Manager. He is responsible for servicing the equipment needs of the NC State football program and assisting the day-to-day operations of the NC State Football Equipment Room.

Prior to coming to NC State, McLain spent one year at the University of Virginia, serving as the Assistant Football Equipment Room Manager. During that time he managed all aspects of the equipment room operations for the Cavalier football program.

McLain is a native of Mount Holly, NC and graduated from NC State in 2020 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management and will complete his Master’s Degree at NC State in 2023. He is a certified member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association and currently resides in Raleigh, NC.
