Jackie Brooks serves as the Director of Operations for NC State Track & Field and Cross Country. In the midst of her 19th year as a staff member with both programs, she began working as an administrative assistant in 2001. She is currently in her second stint as Director of Operations, serving in that role from 2004-11 before rejoining the programs in 2014.
Brooks, an alumna of the Wolfpack track and cross country programs, graduated from NC State in 1999 with a degree in psychology. She took home four ACC individual titles in track & field, winning the indoor 5,000m in 1996 and claiming three-straight gold medals in the outdoor 10,000m from 1997-99.
Brooks earned All-ACC honors five times, including an all-conference cross country performance in 1995. She ran on four consecutive ACC championship cross country teams from 1995-98. Moreover, she represented the United States as a member of the 1996 U.S. Junior World team, which competed in Cape Town, South Africa.
Brooks has one son, Sean, and two daughters, Leah and Madison.
