Wolfpack Alum Ian Walker joined the NC State Football Strength & Conditioning staff as an Assistant Coach in March of 2024. He joins the Wolfpack staff after building a reputation as an elite speed development coach and as one of the premier sports performance coaches in the region.
Walker has gained regional and national recognition while serving as a program director and helping build the business and reputation of performance training facilities in the Raleigh area. He boasts a wealth of experience with youth/high school athletes, numerous Division I collegiate athletes as well as professional athletes in the NFL, MLS, WNBA, XFL, UFL, and CFL.
Walker possesses 12 years of track & field coaching experience, primarily mentoring sprints and relays. He also served three seasons as the strength & conditioning coach for the USPHL Elite Carolina Junior Hurricanes, helping that squad win a national championship in the ‘22-’23 season. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and is First Aid, CPR & AED Certified. He earned his degree from NC State in 2007.
