Emily Gillespie, Learning Specialist, joined ASPSA in August 2024. In her current role she works with a caseload of students to develop academic skills.
Originally from Perry, Oklahoma, Emily attended Oklahoma State University, where she obtained her Bachelor’s in Secondary Education. She then went on to receive her M.Ed. in College Counseling and Student Development from NC State University. Before joining ASPSA full-time, Emily worked as an Academic Mentor and completed her graduate internship with ASPSA. She previously spent 5 years as a public school educator, teaching English Language Arts and U.S. History in Tulsa, OK and in Wake County, NC.
In her free time, Emily enjoys reading mystery novels, going on walks with her husband, Chris, and dog, Marshall, and playing board games with friends.
