Beverly Moore Armwood is the Senior Associate Athletic Director. She serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the department. She joined the NC State Athletics department in July of 2005 as Assistant Athletics Director for Business and Finance. Her role has progressively increased to an Associate AD in 2018, and later elevated to Chief Financial Officer and Senior Associate Athletic Director.
Armwood as a member of the Athletic Executive Staff is responsible for management of the department’s Business, Finance, Team Travel and Information Technology areas. Her duties include short and long term financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for operations and capital projects and developing and executing departmental initiatives.
Prior to joining the athletic department, Armwood was a member of the NC State University's Communication Technologies Department for seven years. In her time in Communication Technologies, Armwood served as the Department's Associate Director of Operations and Business Officer. She also spent a year in the University Budget Office when initially joining NC State.
Armwood came to NC State from PennCorp Financial as an Investment Analyst and Accountant in Finance, and supervised Accounts Payable in General Accounting. There she gained extensive experience in financial management and analysis, budgeting and planning, business process improvements and efficiencies.
A native North Carolinian from Apex, N.C., and a lifelong Wolfpack fan, she earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from NC State University. Beverly and her husband, Kevin reside in Raleigh.
