Anne Hirschfeld joined NC State in August 2022 as an Assistant Director of Communications and serves as the primary contact for volleyball and softball.
Prior to joining NC State, Hirschfeld was the Assistant Director of Athletics Communications at Drake University, where she was the primary contact for women’s basketball, soccer, tennis, and softball. She also served as the Mixed Zone Coordinator for the Drake Relays in 2022.
As the Mixed Zone Coordinator for the Drake Relays, she worked with all media personnel covering the event, handled credentials, assisted in organizing interviews, and helped photographers when needed.
Prior to her time as the Assistant Director, Hirschfeld spent four months as a graduate assistant in the communications office. She was the point of contact for all 16 sports and Drake Relays for two months.
In her two years of undergraduate studies at Drake, she also spent that time as student assistant, where she was worked with all sports teams. During the 2020-21 season, she was the primary contact for men's and women's soccer.
A native of Pewaukee, Wis., Hirschfeld earned her bachelor’s degree in from Drake University in journalism and mass communication with emphasis in advertising and public relations. She also earned her master’s degree from Drake in communication leadership. In addition, she holds a minor in non-profit studies from Northern Illinois University.
