Justin Wilson is in his ninth year as a member of the NC State Athletics Communications staff and sixth as assistant director, following a year as a postgraduate intern and two years as a student assistant. He serves as the primary media contact for the nationally-ranked baseball, volleyball and rifle programs.
Wilson headlined the publicity efforts for the Wolfpack baseball team that matched its highest ranking in program history at No. 2 in the polls. He was also responsible for the promotion of seven All-ACC selections for the NC State baseball program, which tied the school record highlighted by ACC Pitcher of the Year Brian Brown and ACC Freshman of the Year Patrick Bailey.
During his time with the Wolfpack, Wilson has served as the primary contact for the gymnastics, men's tennis, softball, swimming & diving and wrestling programs.
As an undergraduate, he worked multiple events with the ACC office as a member of the media staff, including the ACC basketball, football and soccer championships. Wilson also contributed regularly to many of NC State athletics publications such as game notes and has edited media guides and yearbooks.
A native of Elizabethtown, N.C., Wilson graduated from NC State in May of 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication with a concentration in media.Â
He is a member of College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and is also a devoted member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Wilson resides in Clayton with his wife Angelica. They are the proud parents of a baby boy, Jayden and dog Trixi.
