Devyn Deaton MR, LAT, ATC
Deaton joined the North Carolina State Sports Medicine staff in June 2017. Â She currently serves as an insurance coordinator.Â
Prior to transitioning into the insurance coordinator role, she served as the primary athletic trainer for Women’s Soccer.  Deaton also completed her Masters of Parks Recreation, Tourism, and Sport Management at NC State. During that time, she worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the department with the cross country and track and field teams.Â
Prior to joining the Wolfpack, Deaton worked as an intern at Miami University (OH). At Miami University, she worked with Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive and supervised the Miami Undergrad students in the athletic training program. She also had the opportunity to attend the NCAA Women’s Division I Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2017.
Deaton completed her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training at Ashland University and went on to get her Masters of Park, Recreation, Tourism, and Sport Management here at NC State. While earning her degree, she worked as an athletic trainer with the men’s and women’s track and field and cross country teams before transitioning into a role with women’s soccer.Â
Deaton is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, North Carolina Athletic Trainers’ Association, and the College Athletic Trainers’ Society. In addition, Deaton holds certification in Integrated Dry Needling.Â
Deaton is originally from McComb, OH. She currently resides in Raleigh, NC with her husband Micahel and dog (Ryder). In her free time, Deaton enjoys going to the beach with family and friends.
