Laurin Ackerson is in her first year as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the Wolfpack softball team. Originally from Presque Isle, ME, Ackerson received her bachelors of science in athletic training from The University of Alabama in 2017. While at Alabama, she worked as a student athletic trainer with tennis, cheerleading, softball, and football.
In 2016, Ackerson traveled with the softball team to the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City. During her senior year, she worked and traveled with the football team as well. Ackerson worked the sidelines of the SEC Championship, the Peach Bowl, and the National Championship game during the 2017 season.
Ackerson is certified by Board of Certification and licensed to practice as an athletic trainer in the state of North Carolina. Â
