NC State men’s soccer head coach George Kiefer announced on April 4, 2017, the addition of Lindsey Krakower to his staff as the program’s director of soccer operations.
Krakower comes to NC State from the University of South Florida (USF), where she served as an assistant director of student-athlete enhancement and community engagement for the school’s athletic department since October 2015. Prior to this post, she worked as the executive assistant to the director of athletics at USF (2014-15) and as an administrative assistant for USF’s senior level administrators (2013-14).
Krakower was the director of soccer operations for the USF women’s soccer team from 2011-13 and has also spent the last six summers (2011-16) serving as the camp director for the official USF summer soccer camp program. She also served as a graduate assistant for the USF Center for Victim Advocacy & Violence Prevention from 2011-13, supervising programming and outreach opportunities to students in an ongoing effort to enhance campus safety.
“I believe that Lindsey is a great addition to our staff in that she already has the experience of being a director of soccer, but we went outside the box a little with this hire because one of her biggest assets is her skill in terms of student development,” Kiefer said. “Lindsey will be working hand in hand with the players to help them develop into great leaders, citizens, and fathers. When a young man commits to NC State, he will see the quantifiable things in place to help his personal development, which in turn will pay dividends during professional careers and life after soccer.”
A native of Plantation, Fla., Krakower enrolled at USF in 2007 as a student-athlete on the women’s soccer team. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 2010. Lettering for four years, she was named the captain of the Bulls women’s soccer team in 2010. During that same season, she also held the position of SAAC president. Lindsey obtained her Master’s in Education from USF in 2013.
