RALEIGH, N.C. - No. 2 NC State men's soccer opened the 2026 season and third with Marc Hubbard at the helm, with a 0-0 draw against Coastal Carolina Thursday night at Dail Soccer Field.
The Wolfpack controlled the match offensively, outshooting the Chanticleers 19-4. NC State also earned nine corner kicks compared to Coastal Carolina's none.

Riley Moloney, Frank DeFranceso and Aidan Payne each put shots on goal in the opening half, but Coastal Carolina goalkeeper Will Devine made three saves to keep the match scoreless.
The Pack continued to pressure in the second half, recording nine additional shots. Devine finished the night with four saves, while Samuel Terranova made saves to record the shutout.
